The carnival is over!! Tonight Bacchanal Carnival had their Last Lap at Cuddyz. Ok, I had a problem with that. I had thought they were doing it at Mas Camp and so I was definitely going. Then I saw the paper and the ad said it was at Cuddyz and it was free!! Though the freeness part was ok, I wasn’t feeling the Cuddyz vibe.

Having decided I wasn’t going, I actually set my mind to a drinkup with Camera Club. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Everybody decided to flop the show. As I was heading home, I got a call and off we went to Cuddyz. They were previewing the video which will be part of the “Bacchanal Experience” DVD (like who is going to buy this?). Saw few people I knew on the video, definitely no sign of me.

The vibe at Cuddyz about fit what I expected because the place is kinda small and the tables were all up in the space (tho they did start moving them eventually). But looking around, it was more about the faces of the people around me. Some people did start dancing but for many the music was just washing over their heads. The same songs that had people jumping and waving a week ago elicited little more than a head bop.

Yes folks, sad to say - the carnival is over.
