Been nearly 2 weeks since my last post. That’s mainly because I’ve been under pressure as we near the end of this part of the course. Reason #2 is I went to:

BARBADOS CROPOVER!!!!

Whoohoo!!!! Party party and more party!!! “Bajans wukking up, on the road again”. I had a great time, the music was great, the liquor was flowing,the parties were fun, the wukking up was wunderful. Ended up playing mas, though that was not my intention when I went. Had fun but it was way too short. I will have to get back to Barbados one of these days.

Next on the agenda: LAVENTILLE STEELBAND FESTIVAL!! This is tomorrow and I am playing on the road with Exodus. Yay!! See me in my physically and mentally drained state trying to rapidly cram songs into my head in 2 days. Never had more fun learning music. I am just so glad to be playing. More on this next week.

And of course, somewhere in there, I am trying to do all the work I have. So the quick run-down:

• Monday 8th
  • Group presentation, I still have to do my part and compile the rest into power point
  • Practicum presentation, this is my year long research project that I am proposing
• Wednesday 10th
  • Practicum proposal, actual 3-page proposal to be submitted
• Friday 12th
  • Meeting with supervisor regarding research project
• Monday 15th
  • Group project due for 100% of Policy class grade

I am so ready to get out of here. My head feels like it’s going to explode!!
