Appreciation
Thanks to Sara who featured my most recent poem ‘Softly’ on her blog.
Here is a poem of hers that she shared with me:
I’m too old to realize,
Yet too young to understand
The way this world works
As life gets out of hand.As I see my life pass by
In front of my eyes,
I can tell you that my
Frustration is no surprise.With so much to do
In so little time,
I begin to wonder
Whether I should start to climb
To the place I want to be,
Or just sit and stare
Up there silently,
Without getting anywhere.Days pass by like minutes
As my restless state grows,
Where will I be tomorrow?
No one really knows.Now I can comprehend
Why the Lord had said,
‘Mankind was created weak’,
As the weight sits on my head.MAY PEACE BE UPON YOUR SOUL, HEART, MIND, AND BODY…AMEN.
