Surrender

From the silent depth,
Deeper than my words,
One word was all -
All it took to understand.
Understanding long denied,
Denial of a hard truth,
True enough to bring back pain.
Painful memories of words,
Worded so hatefully.
Hate? Returned for my love?
Loving eyes with tears,
Crying for a heart’s loss,
Lost, now letting go.
Gone with the words,
One word remains -
Good bye.

Right now I am feeling kinda blue emoticon blue and depressed emoticon depressed and lonely emoticon lonely and sad emoticon sad...

I love the way the thoughts flow. Very creative.

At the risk of sounding corny and clichéd, I must say that by around lines 5 to 10 I could actually feel what you’re talking about. It’s so easy, as a means of dealing with stuff, not to admit to ourselves how bad it makes us feel.

({)I think this is the most moving of your poems I’ve seen so far. Keep up the good writing (y)
