Tidbits

  • Christmas is here - Yesterday it still felt like summer, then overnight the weather transitioned into Christmas. I woke up to a strong “Christmas breeze” which feels nice enough but was hell on people like me with allergies. The lights are also out - drove by Liguanea Plaza and saw their usual display of lights in the parking lot. Nice.
  • Some record - I heard on the news this evening that we have already had more people killed this year than in any other year. That’s right we have officially broken our record and we still have over a month to go.
  • On a more positive note, those of you on MSN may be wondering about my name today: B(out to buss!! Big tings comin’). I am soon to be featured as a talented up-and-coming photographic artist on a website being developed to promote positive images of Jamaica. I will be sure to broadcast the news when the site launches.

I was just sayin to Rae an hour ago how cold it got overnite, and at the same time I was writing a post on crime. Now I come here and see that you mentioned both those things. We’re on par today.

CONGRATS on your feature!!! But forgive me for reading ‘pornographic’ where you wrote ‘photographic’. Dunno where that came from

I feel so sad that this had to be the year for so many deaths. The Tsunami, the bombings in London, The earthquake in Kashmir, the floods in Mumbai and now Chennai. Looks like GOD is an angry man! Sigh…

I remain always grateful that even with our hurricanes and earthquakes, we don’t have (in present times at least) the kind of death tolls seen in other parts of the country. Of course, our murdered are caused by their own countrymen which is just as sad if not sadder. The key is to try to focus on the positives.

Cyaan bodda dwell on the bad. Good to know all is not bad with the country as there are positives (icluding your debut) that are and will be happening.
