I cried tonight
For the time lost
Shedding tears over
A love

I cried tonight
For a battle lost
That I never knew
Was fought

I cried tonight
For memories lost
Recalled with ease
And pain

I cried tonight
For a friend lost
A long time ago
I thought

I cried tonight
For a love lost
A familiar path
Long gone
