Dream productively

Thom Quinn over at The QLog has been doing 101 Days of Productivity. He’s now just over three-quarter of the way through and many of his tips are extremely helpful. Some of them I’ve heard before and others are less familiar. Yesterday’s idea was the “Dreams List” which can be used to “help clarify your life-long objectives”.

The basic idea is to make 3 lists, of everything you would be, do, or have if you had no obstacles, constraints or commitments. This list is completely open to your creativity with no limitations - he suggests striving for 30 - 50 ideas in each list. Then you identify the top dream in each area and adding those to your life goals immediately. I think it’s an interesting exercise and can definitely prove useful in illuminating our hidden desires that we perhaps hide away because of perceived constraints.

Check out the rest of the tips at Productivity 101.
