Although there will always be examples to contradict the points made, these can be some good signs to look out for in a long-term relationship. Don’t however, get too caught up on the little things. This list was done by one man based on his experience. You may find other things that say it for you.

1. The relationship goes smoothly from the beginning. This seems like an idealistic stance but it does happen this way for some people. Others may have a more volatile relationship that still works.
2. She gets along well with your family and friends. This one is important. There may be individual personality clashes but your S.O. definitely needs to get on well with those important people in your life.
3. There is nothing major you want to change about her. The key word here is major. You will always have things about your S.O. that you want to be different but they should not be large parts of their character or personality.
4. She’s your best friend. The root of all happiness, this is what’s left when the physical attraction is taken away. What is better than spending the rest of your life with your best friend?
5. The thought of marrying her doesn’t scare you in the least. Hollywood has stereotyped the concept of cold feet, but there should be a calm sense of “rightness” when you think about marrying them.
