Each one help one
It is amazing just how good helping somebody else can feel.
On Friday, I found myself bubbling over with the after-effects of helping two people in my life. In both cases, the help I offered in fact required very little of me, but had a big impact. I found ways to use things I had in my life which I was not using in either case to make someone else’s day.
Will the impact go beyond a day? It’s entirely possible, but irrelevant. What I do know is that for those few moments after I lent a hand, these people who are important to me smiled at me with an overflowing amount of gratefulness. I knew that for that day at least I had made a difference in their lives.
It does make me think about that whole “pay it forward” concept. It could change the world if people would look for ways to help others. Not saying my recent deeds were world-changing. :-D
