This week I welcomed a newcomer into my life. It was long overdue but finally it happened. I got a new laptop!! With its sleek deep onyx blue finish, sexy lines, dreamy 17 inch monitor, built-in wireless, 3GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive, it swept me off my feet and into a blissful world of productive computing.
I can now actually click on applications and see them open before I blink (a half dozen times). I can keep several applications open all at the same time without the unending freeze. I can run memory hogs with little more than a brief flicker. I can see all the way to column ‘V’ in a spreadsheet. I can shut down my computer knowing that it will reboot within seconds. I can safely shut my laptop and go off into standby or hibernate without worrying that it won’t wake up. I can lie on my bed without troublesome cables tying up my feet. I can safely work on battery power alone without fear of the 10-minute shutdown.
I feel invincible! There is nothing I cannot do now (at least in my computing world).
P.S. This does mean that I am likely to be back to blogging on a regular basis
