I can remember when I was younger there was this thing about the 1st day of the month. If you said ‘White Rabbit’ 3 times before speaking to anyone, then you were meant to have good luck for the rest of the month. Silly, right? Turns out it’s an old British superstition. Lol!
Anyway, I’m not much for superstitions nowadays. But for some reason the first of the month always conjures up ideas in my head of good things starting. Most months the 1st ends up being an ordinary day like any other. But I now have a reason to mark the 1st.
On the 1st of February this year, my nephew was born. If you were around on Facebook or Twitter you may have noticed my new aunty excitement. I am a bit of a sucker for kids and having one so closely related to me is a bit of a thrill.
The point of all this was to say that my nephew is 1 month old today! So my good luck wishes are all for him.
