… speeches
In 2004 I joined a Toastmasters club that operates in New Kingston. For those of you that don’t know, Toastmasters is essentially a public speaking club. Members make a series of speeches working towards a particular designation and these speeches are critiqued by the other members.
When you start with Toastmasters there is a basic maual of 10 speeches that you work through. Each speech addresses additional elements of speechwriting and public speaking. As I move through the basic manual I will post my completed speeches here. The way you see them here is the way they were written, not necessarily the way they ended up being given. I don’t record them when I am actually presenting so I don’t have a proper transcript of them (perhaps for future speeches).
